PrecisionCore Linehead

The L-6534WW PrecisionCore linehead delivers high productivity through single-pass printing with up to 600x1200dpi with droplets as small as 3.2pl using VSDT (Variable Sized Droplet Technology) enabling beautiful gradation and grey scale. PrecisionCore print chips consistently fire uniform dots using precision made ultra circular nozzles that allow precise drop placement to create razor ultrasharp definition.

OVERVIEW & SPECIFICATIONS

L-6534WW uses a drum platen, a highly accurate web feeding technology that holds the substrate tightly to prevent meandering and skewing of the web. The substrate is “fixed” to the drum, as it passes all printhead colours, hence providing excellent colour to colour registration.

The Drum Platen allows the gap between the printhead and substrate to be kept very small (0.7mm), ensuring accurate ink placement, crisp text and fine lines.

Digital Varnish Ink

Digital Varnish Ink The L-6534VW has spot varnish capability with Epson’s innovative digital varnish. A gloss and matte spot finish can be printed anywhere on the label. Brand owners can now use unlimited tactile designs and effects.

UV light is applied immediately after each colour is printed. This allows PrecisionCore head toapply perfectly round drops in their correct positions. The UV pinning prevents ink drops from spreading or deforming as ink is cured before absorption into substrates, allowing for the reproduction of vivid colour, smooth gradations and sharp, detailed text. This achieves the wide and accurate colour gamut brand owners require.

L-6534WW automatically cleans and checks the printhead Verification Technology checks nozzle status automatically by applying voltage to piezo elements and detects malfunctions in milliseconds.

All nozzles are checked after cleaning and before printing. The head maintenance function cleans nozzles automatically to minimise operator interaction and increase automation. The Web cleaner wipes off debris on the surface of the substrate along with the exhaust treater. static electricity on the surface of the substrate and improves the ejection stability during printing.

The Epson formulated inks allow a wide variety of standard flex materials to be utilised. A corona treater and final UV lamp are included to enhance printing on typical substrates. The low temperature UV LED cure enables printing on heat-sensitive substrates such as PE and shrink film.

Wide Colour Gamut

Epson UV inks contain a high concentration of pigment particles and together with UV LED embedding enable wide gamut and vivid colours.

The single pass high-opacity white ink provides an ideal base layer for printing of vivid colours on clear or metalic substrates. The bright white ink also reproduces opaque fine text and lines.

A unique two-stage drying process ensures optimum ink adhesion to label substrates. The first drying stage is a platen heater, which starts fixing the image onto the substrate. The substrate then moves down to the second drying stage, where hot air blown from a fan evaporates the remaining moisture. After drying, the substrate moves directly to the rewinder.

A water-based pigment ink-set has been developed specifically for the SurePress L-4733AW with eight colours including green and orange for an extra-wide colour gamut. This ensures accurate colour reproduction for precise colour matching with excellent adhesion on a wide variety of label substrates, without the need for any pre-treatments or coatings. An opaque white ink is also available.

The SurePress uses a water-based pigment ink that features a wide selection of colours that include Green and Orange, in addition to Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Uncoated Black and White, expanding the colour gamut. The difference is especially noticeable in the bright green to yellow and yellow-orange-red portions of the colour space. The ink set allows you to have a higher print accuracy and colour saturation to make your labels look even more appealing on a wide variety of label stock substrates, without the need for any pre-processing.

SurePress leverages on Epson’s advanced MicroPiezo inkjet technology, synonymous with high quality output, reliability and performance. Using piezo electric technology, the amount of ink pulled into and expelled out of the nozzles can be very accurately controlled by varying the electrical charge applied to the piezo electric elements. This enables the print head to eject ink droplets in a

range of precisely controlled sizes. MicroPiezo delivers accurate dot shapes and placement for each colour to ensure high-end colour quality and sharp detail needed especially for barcodes and small text.

Epson’s Variable-Sized Droplet Technology produces different sized ink droplets as small as 3.0 picolitres. These precisely-sized droplets allow the ink to be uniformly applied, contributing to smooth gradations and accurate colours for optimum image quality.

Dual Ink Cartridges allows auto switching which ensures uninterrupted operations, minimising downtime during production. Ink levels are easily monitored via the display and empty cartridges

can be easily removed during production without interruptions.

The SurePress L-4733AW comes with a temperature sensor, tape holder, and sitting board to facilitate device operation. With the carriage fan that improves initial drying, the digital label press also has a heater fan that supports the main drying process.
